Hell, I thought Hawaii was an island. But the proprietors of this fantastic Mies van der Rohe-esque building situated on the corner of Kalakaua and South King Street had other plans, and named it the Continental. What continent? Where? Here, apparently. The idea is vaguely reminiscent of Dustin Hoffman's character in Tootsie yelling at his agent that "New York is a coast, too." Freakin' A.

No. 22. The Continental envisions big things on
the horizon for this balmy, tropical island
Hell, I thought Hawaii was an island.
