No. 9. Mark's Garage Houses Cars, Art;
Valet Services Now Available for Both






The signage on the Mark's Garage building breaks a cardinal rule of graphic design — utilizing more than two font types — but for some reason, it works. It occurred to me that perhaps some of the lettering was added at different decades, in an attempt to either update the signage or rebrand the building. If I had to take a guess at the sequence, I think the vertical Googie-inspired letters reading 'parking' came first, and the horizontal letterings came later. But who knows?
