No. 7. Let There Be Peace on Earth

The Ing family of Pauoa Valley has been creating some of the most elaborate Christmas displays for years. We caught up with them while they were setting up this year's scenery — an eclectic mix of various cartoons — such as Disney and the Simpsons. There are some interesting attempts at type work by non-graphic designers and non-sign professionals in this display. Of particular interest was the headlining message: "Let there be peace on earth," which seemed to be formed from hand-cut letters.

Merry Christmas, everyone. And here's a toast to 2009. Times are hard right now. Hope it starts looking up for everyone that's had a rough year.
