Aly Ishikuni has been known, over the last year, as one-half of the new electro pop sound sensation Alt/Air. Partnered in crime with the other half of this perfect partnering (Did I say 'partner' twice? I did.) is Brandon Udani, charged with the heavy responsibility of creating the perfect beats to Aly's mutant ability — as the ancients called it — to "belt," making most of her audience wonder, in awe, how so much voice can come out of so tiny a girl. Late last year Aly asked me to design the Alt/Air logo. Two versions were made, one won, and Contrast's Art Director Mark Kushimi created the gorgeous EP album design.
